Friendly Grocer Lennox Head

We have been staying here for 2 weeks and this store which is just a short walk from us has been great for when we need something quick. It is more expensive than the Woolworth here in Lennox Head but the convenience of not having to drive to Woolworths is worth it. They do have a good selection and their made fresh daily items such as bread, cakes etc are really good. You can buy sandwich meats cut fresh and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. They also have a good selection of ready made foods too.

Lennox head friendly grocer is awesome. Really helpful staff, and the quality of the produce is unmatched!

It's a great shop always friendly and open, even on PH so that's a bonus. Has some hot food options. The pies we got (PH Bakery closed) were crackers and very tasty, when u want a pie...u want a pie!!

Some great specialty items like Byron coffee. Quite expensive (my milk is $1 more than Aldi), but then you expect that for convenience, so I would recommend it for things you've forgotten but do your main shopping elsewhere.

Jess served me 25 Feb 7am ish and she has great ! Customer rapport . My 3rd visit from the GC and this grocer is terrific. A pleasure to visit.

Very lovely staff, always very helpful! A great local supermarket, perfectly positioned in the centre of town. I would give 5 stars but they stopped selling bird seed so now I have to drive all the way to Ballina to purchase it. Overall very great place to do your shopping!

Lennox Head IGA is exactly what you want it to be—convenient, well-stocked, and quietly dependable. It’s the kind of place you duck into for one thing and leave with five, all of which make sense in retrospect. The selection is genuinely good: fresh produce, sensible staples, and enough interesting extras to stop it feeling like a last-resort shop. It fits neatly into daily life here, which is no small thing. It does lose a star on price. Not outrageous—but noticeable. And before anyone reaches for the remote general store defence: I’ve been to those. Proper middle-of-nowhere operations where freight arrives by optimism and luck. Things are cheaper there than here. So let’s not pretend geography is doing all the work. Still, it’s friendly, reliable, and easy. You get what you need without drama, confusion, or fluorescent despair. Four stars. For convenience, range, and for being very good—just not quite bargain-bin heroic.

Great little supermarket which has a really good range, including a juice bar! Obviously prices are not the same as the big 2. No need to rate them on price.
